Audio explainer: an accessible impact report

Long-time client LawCare are always keen to try new ways to communicate their impact over the past year, and are open to ideas.

I had been thinking for a while about the possibility of creating an audio version of an infographic - where the journey of discovery is as interesting as watching a video or reading a heavily designed graphic - they loved the idea.

I worked with audio and podcast expert Mark Steadman to create this >>> enjoy!

(process below)

Step 1 - The script - The client sent over the data they wanted to feature and I worked on the script and suggested treatments for each data point.

Step 2 - VoiceOver. Mark and I both recorded the entire script, giving us the opportunity to change speaker when needed.

Step 3 - Sound production - Mark worked on the sound production and editing.

Step 4 - Making the audiogram - whilst audio is great, it still needs a format to work successfully on a website or on social media, so many audio production apps are now offering an audiogram service which allows you to add logos and, most importantly, subtitles.
